Spinoff: What's your LEAST fave restarant?

I'm going to get a lot of disagreement here, but I have to say Carousello. I think it's literally the leftovers from Russo's. YUCK. And one time I was there, and someone had thrown up all over the entranceway..and I was like 'i feel you pain'...i had fish and it really tasted stale and reheated AND it looked EXACTLY like what you'd get at a wedding, so I think they just ship over all the uneated dinners from weddings

oh, and Charlie Brown's 'steakhouse' was pretty nasty too. THey recently opened one in commack

I can't think of any restuarant I really hate. I actually like all of the chains like fridays, applebees and the olive garden, although they aren't my favorites. I have had both good and bad experiences at all of them. I will NOT go to any Fridays in Manhattan though. The couple of times I have, the service has been just awful!!

i agree

but the wednesday night buffet is yummy

I like Olive Garden. The salad and breadsticks are so good.

Applebee's has gotten sort of cheesy- the food is not good at all and the last time we were at the one in Bayside the service was pathetic.

The Gatsby. I was incredibly disappointed, especially after DH made reservations, we went there, it was completely empty, and they shoved us off in the corner at this tiny and uncomfortable table. The food was terrible and not worth the price at all.

Intermezzo, both SMithtown and Fort Salonga. I'd rather walk down to the IGA in the shopping center to buy a chunk of garlic to chew on - it's cheaper than ordering dinner, and tastes the same.

Boulder Creek - some of the worst steak I've ever had.

DH can't stand Friendly's - he got sick everytime he ate.

In general I don't like chains and since hubby has come to realize this we just don't go (I will go to the Outback with him occassionally). Of all of them I think Applebees and Chili's are the worst!

Oh yeah, thats right! Friendlys! Ugh! I dont know how anyone goes there for their food......their ice cream used to be better years ago.....

And this is by no means to offend anyone--just experiences and personal opinions.....

i have eaten at applebees 3 times and all three i have gotten sick lol i guess 3 strikes an im out

OMG me too! That's why I hate then and it has been different Applebee's in different states.

Oliver Garden I feel like When they first opened they were good. But then they have gone down hill. I feel like their portions are like the size of a penny. Thank god for the unlimited breadsticks and Salad.
