Spinoff: What's your LEAST fave restarant?

Original post by marymoon

I'm going to get a lot of disagreement here, but I have to say Carousello. I think it's literally the leftovers from Russo's. YUCK. And one time I was there, and someone had thrown up all over the entranceway..and I was like 'i feel you pain'...i had fish and it really tasted stale and reheated AND it looked EXACTLY like what you'd get at a wedding, so I think they just ship over all the uneated dinners from weddings

Applebees's - just ate there Sat and I was sick on Sunday!! I think I enjoyed the food ONCE, and that was years ago.

Outback steakhouse- got food poisoning from there

Sizzler-- just gross!

(and there are people who I know who LOVE Olive Garden and Sizzler. Bleh!)

Oliver Garden I feel like When they first opened they were good. But then they have gone down hill. I feel like their portions are like the size of a penny. Thank god for the unlimited breadsticks and Salad.

They were REALLY good when they first opened. I remember eating at one near Philly and we ate there all the time. But they just went downhill after awhile. Their breadsticks used to be much better too.

Applebees and Ruby Tuesdays(that place just smells funky)!

I agree about both of these chains.

As far as the others, I haven't had that many bad experiences with non-chains

And I also think it depends on location. We have a Fridays by us that is downright disgusting and I would never go back - yet there is an Appelbees by us that is consistently good for what we eat.. so go figure!

which Applebees? The service in the one at Cross county is Awful! Theer ware as slashignincident there the other day. There was a dissagreement between kitchen staff that got outta control.

and yeah, I never understand how they are all so crowded.

Do fast food places count?

If not, I'm not too fond of South Shore in Patchogue.

Also I am not a big fan of Applebees either.

I like fridays. They have some really good dishes. Much better selection than Applebees. That is my biggest problem with Applebees (the menu selection and the appearance of some of the food)

I am not a big fan of Chinese buffets either. The quality is bad and the thought of how long the food could be sitting there is just not appealing. I don't like Red Lobster. I had fish there one time and it was very fishy.

Oh Heather , no way! I ate there ONE TIME and I swore I would never go back - its HORRIBLE (not just the food , the entire 'scene' is just downright scary!!) There was a fight that broke out while we were sitting in the bar area and I swore NEVER again

There is an Appelbees in Elmsford up 9A, past the Greenburg Multiplex and before the Saw Mill Theater.. I'm not sure if you are familiar with this area, its a little out of the way for us too but on the occassion we go to the movies we have stopped there to grab something quick now and again..

But at the same time, we went to the Appelbees in White Plains by the City Center and it was AWFUL ..

And the Friday's on Central Avenue , by Pizza and Brew.. well I just find it disgusting (IMO)

Friendly's is now banned in our household - our experiences there have been so bad.

Not a fan of Applebees or Fridays either

Generally don't love Olive Garden, but we ate in a fabulous one in Manhattan about a year ago, I think in the 20s. It looked like it was a really nice restaurant went out of business and OG took over, but kept the decor of the other place - it was actually really nice.

Feleicia--that Friday's is awful! I'd rahter got o Pizza & Brew! ( or better yet, Spiga!)
Seriously, I have NO tolerance for Westchester retaurants. Everything is SO packed all the time.
We have about 4 on a rotating lists of aceptable eatign establishments.

On 6th Avenue? That one is new & decent. I went there for lunch once with co-workers. It is good because it is pretty quick.

Yes, I think that is the one, it was really posh for an Olive Garden - I think it made the food taste better
