Spitz and Peck Florists, any feedback on them?

I'm almost running out of time, getting married June 23rd and have no florist and haven't ordered bridesmaid dresses yet. I don't think i'm gonna have enough time to look at many florists but my reception hall suggested Spitz and Peck. I am wondering if they are worth the meeting or should I just look at Flowers by Brian since i've heard of them before?

I booked Spitz & Peck for my Nov. wedding. I met with Richard at the Huntington location, he was great. His first question was 'what is your budget'. I liked that, and he was animated and seemed to care. The guy at Flowers by Brian didn't seem like he cared one way or another about his job. I just didn't get that great of a vibe.

I went to Flowers by Brian and was quoted an amount, never asked my budget. I went to Spitz and Peck and Rich was wonderful. He sat w/us for 2hrs going over options and getting a feel for what I liked and wanted. I felt bad b/c I kept saying one thing but really wanting another. We finally got it together in the end. When people ask, I tell them I booked S&P and they say that the flowers will be outrageous, and that's what I wanted. Rich told me I wouldn’t have to worry and he was right. BTW, The Spitz and Peck quote was cheaper than Flowers by Brian.

I am using Spitz and Peck as well...which hall are you getting married at? My sister used them 2 years ago, she had the most beautiful flowers and they are wonderful!!!

Spitz & Peck is one of the 4 mandatory florists my reception site is making me use. (NYC location) I told them emphatically what my budget was and got a quote for exactly that. However, their quote was very vague so before I even considered booking them I requested a more detailed contract. I have heard not so great things about them before so make sure you get it all in writing.

Winne ... Spitz and Peck, all the way! As you know, we have

the same wedding date. I choose S&P over Flowers by Brian. I agree with Kris, they were more helpful and concern with what we wanted and could afford. We went to the Cedarhurst location. :-)

Try Burton's in Melville

They were wonderful to deal with and their prices were really good too. I did not like the fact that Spitz and Peck called me the day after 9/11 and asked me if I wanted to discuss my wedding flower needs with them. I thought it was very inconsiderate given everything that was going on and I had never called them requesting an appointment. My wedding is not until 11/2002 so it was not like I was under a time crunch and needed this decided that week. After that, I refused to even met with them.

I'm getting married at Woodbury Country Club. I'm having almost 300 people coming to my wedding. I feel like i should've hired a wedding planner because i'm so confused. But visiting LIWEDDINGS.COM have helped me alot and I would like to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart.
