I need to cut corners somewhere. My original plan for my BP is suddenly going way over budget. I originally wanted to do full bottles of wine as our favors, but I just can't swing this if I plan on changing our plans for the BP. The changed plan involves purchasing Tiffany for the girls. The original plan involved a bag with various items in it pertaining to each girl's tastes, but it was not going to be jewelry.
What to do? Splurge on the BP, or give the wine as favors? I'm really torn on this, I'm leaning towards the splurge on the BP, but I was looking forward to giving the wine as well.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Re: Splurge on the BP Gifts or Favors?
Personally, if I was in your BP I'd rather have the first gift that you described than something from Tiffany's. I like the idea of giving the girls something individual to suit their tastes.

I would too, but I'm having a very hard time deciding on what to get two of my BMs. Literally, I have no idea. The others, I can manage, it's these two that I can't think of one thing that would be great for them. So I figured I can go the Tiffany route, but then I'm WAY over what I originally budgeted, as I already started getting the bags, etc, for the original idea.
ETA: The original idea would have me at $125-$150 per girl, revising it to be Tiffany would bring me closer to the $200 area per girl.

I don' t know if this helps anyone, but at Tri-County, they make these really nice custom, mirrored picture frames. You can have anything you want written on them. I was going to get each one of them a frame that had the date of the wedding, and our names.. or all of the names of the bridal party members. For myself, I'm going to have one made that says 'Me and My Girls' so I can put a picture of myself and my BM's in it. I think they're really nice and personal. And if you're planning on giving each girl a picture that your photographer takes, they can put it in this. Just a suggestion...

I think $125-$150 is a good amount to spend on the BP. If you can spend that amount and still get favors, then I'd splurge on the favors.

The girls I'm sure would be happy that you put so much thought into each of their gifts and spending $125-150 is really generous of you.
If however you can't do full sized wine bottles, have you priced out smaller bottles?

IF YOU REALLY WANT TO DO WINE YOU SHOULD LOOK INTO TRADER JOES, I KNOW THEY DO NOT SELL WINE IN NY BUT IF YOU GO TO JERSEY THEY DO AND A VERY POPULAR BRAND THEY SELL CALLED CHARLES SHORE IS SUPPOSED TO BE EXCELLENT- I DO NOT DRINK WINE BUT EVERYONE I KNOW WHO DOES SAYS ITS THE BEST INEXPENSIVE WINE AND LOVE IT ITS LIKE $4 A BOTTLE I KNOW IT SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE BUT YOU SHOULD TASTE IT. How many guest are you having? Did you want to have wine per couple or pp?
FM Me I may be able to help you...
* Also* I loved the idea of individual gifts for each person, if you can : spend the time go to Filens's Megag Marshalls, even the outlets you'd be surprized at what you will find for less than you think

I'd get the wine favors, figuring your BMs will also each get a bottle. I think your original idea is better for your girls anyway, it's much more personal. You're still spending plenty on them and not breaking your budget.
As for the 2 that you aren't sure on maybe you could get them jewelry, tho not Tiffany's.

Thanks everyone. Tiffany it is. I'll see how the money goes after I purchase their gifts, and we'll go from there.

It depends on how helpful your BP is. Do they go out of their way for you and are they involved in the wedding. As far as the wine bottles, I highly recommend lostvineyards.com. I got the bottles at a great price. They came in fast and were packed very well.

I think its possible to do both. Just do something economical for both. We got $2 favors and spent under $20 for each person in the bridal party. Yet noone would have ever guessed. Being a smart shopper is essential.
