Splurging!

Melbalalala's money saving thread (which is awesome!) got me thinking of a related topic: what are the things you splurged on?

For me, even though I haven't bought them yet, I think it's going to be my shoes. It's hard to justify spending a lot on a pair of shoes that aren't even dyeable, but I just them and keep comparing other shoes to them (omg it sounds like I want to date them!).

My invites........they were much more expensive then I ever imagined spending.........but so worth it!!!!!!!!!!!

My dress ......... I was soo in love with it even my crazy frugal Mom said I had to get it after she saw it on me.

Upgrade the wine to my favorite brand at Reception.

My dessert 'cocktail hour' fondue fountain, ice cream bar ...ect

Definitely a DOC. It wasn't my most expensive purchase, but it wasn't a necessity so I consider it a splurge.

It looks like I'll splurge on a cake, too. My RH offers one cake...and I really want a chocolate cake..so I'm about to start meeting with cake vendors.

I went way overbudget on EVERYTHING! Dress, RH, invites, photo/video. I am so excited though so I hope it is all worth it!

Also, we splurged on chairs for the reception hall. I hated their chairs and everyone told me not to order other chairs but we did it anyway. I know I wont regret it cause I really hated those RH chairs!!

Oh my goshhhh....I forgot to mention that we splurged on our photographer. I cant believe how much were paying him, but im sure it will be worth it!

Good thread: def the Reception hall...it's so much pp it hurts.

I think I saved on just about everything else I could (I agree: I picked the photog I loved the most...but couldn't really SAVE too much here).
