Sports and honeymoon

So ladies, should I be upset that my FH may watch sports during our honeymoon? We had a fight about it.

i would be a little upset if that's all he wanted to do... but FH and i are big yankee fans, and our HM is in October, so hopefully they will be in the playoffs and we will both watch games!! maybe you could agree on a limit as to how much he watches, and schedule spa treatments or something like that for yourself while he does? where are you going for your HM?

Thank you ladies, my FH is also a yankee fan. I think your advise is great. I just did not want to spend money for a HM that will be consumed with sports. We still have not booked the HM as of yet? We are working on that. Our wedding is Sept 29.
I guess I don't really believe that it would be consumed with sports, I just think that your HM should be about spending time with each other doing different things that you can not do at home.

I don't mean to laugh but I FEEL your pain!!

I'm so over it by now....FH loves his sports- that's his one 'thing' in comparison to my gazillion 'things' so I give it to him. Luckily I love baseball as much as he does- I'm just better at sacrificing it than he is!!

Hopefully you guys can find a way to compromise. Maybe there's a fun place to go to watch the game? I'm a big sports bar fan...it's always fun as long as you're drinking!

i absolutely agree, your HM should be about spending time with each other, but IMO, a little time spent apart isn't a bad thing, it will make it more exciting when you do see each other, and make sure you do something nice and special for you too so you don't feel gypped (sp?)

well, if you somewhere they don't show american sports on TV, you won't have that problem .
I remember my mom called us to let DH know how his baseball team was doing, LOL.
I had no problem with that.

FH and I know the playoffs will be on during our HM and he will want to watch, so will I but I knew he was a die hard fan when I met him, When we got engaged and when we planned the wedding and HM. GL Hope it works out for you, don't fight over it, just realize that is who he is and it doesn't in anyway belittle your love for each other or relationship. I wish there were something to compare it to, just try to compromise with him and ask it not to dominate the HM
