I'm having a discussion with someone about 'booing' players at a baseball game.
During Phillies games, if the fans are unhappy with the performance of a particular player (generally, a pitcher, or a big hitter who isn't doing well) the fans will boo him (their own player, not the other team.)
Do you ever see that in NY? I know I never have.
I'm trying to show him that that really doesn't happen outside of Philly.

Yeah they were really tough on Arod last season....i kinda felt bad for the guy
well success is the best revenge and this season he had an amazing one...this morning driving in to work fh and i were listening to sports radio with mike and mike and someone on there said that A-rod had a better season than just about any yankee ever, i wonder how true that is though
Mike and Mike did say, yesterday I believe, that if it weren't for A-Rod ALONE, the Yankees would not have made the playoffs.
Yeah very true, although i like to give credit to the whole team theres no 'I' in team hahahaha but yeah he definitely REALLY helped get them there.

I didn't watch any of their season, so, I don't know how much truth there is behind it -- but, that's what they believe. lol.

I agree with that and hopefully he will continue his streak into the post season.... Im just concerned b.c when it comes to playoffs its always about the pitching...and i feel like the yankees are a little shaky there.... crossing my fingers for tonight....

I hate to do it, but I have been known to boo my own team. I'm not a big NY baseball fan, but I am a NY Ranger fan. Ranger fans have definitely booed their own players when they aren't performing well!

hey just the fact that people are even saying it is a good thing, better than last season lol...i asked FH and he was like OH YEAH but he LOOOOVES A-Rod, so he probably just likes saying that...but im gonna ask him seriously later on, hes one of those ppl who can go through every year of baseball ever and tell you how players did, who won that year and all that.

I hadn't heard that they were having problems in the pitching department.
I did hear that they're worried about A-Rod post season, though.

Pitching is tough, they have Chien-Ming Wang, Clemens and Pettitte as three great starters and then they have Joba and Mariano as closers.... they have a 6&7 inning gap....JMO
