Spray Tan?

I have never done one, and was wondering:
-what is it like?
-will it stain clothes?
-do i have to worry about the dress?
-how do you know what shade to do?

-what is it like? i have had it a few times and i like it. it just sprays on you and then you let it dry. a few hours later the color is settled in and it just gives you a nice color.
-will it stain clothes? no...it will get on the clothes esp right after you have it done but it comes out
-do i have to worry about the dress? if you do it to close to the wedding it will probably get on the dress. make sure to do it like 2-3 days before the wedding.
-how do you know what shade to do? with spray tan there is only 1 standard color. If you do airbrush they can customize the color for you.

I got this done once at Beach Bum (in Queens) and I liked the result. It wasn't too orange or streaky, but the downsides were that you have to go without showering for 12 hours or something, and it smelled funny and did stain my clothes. I think that after you shower, it won't rub off on clothes. I have heard that the result is different on different skin tones, though, and I would at least go for a trial to see how you like it.

I used to go to Beach Bum for the airbrush tan. I had someone do it rather than going into a booth. You have to wait some time before showering. I think it was like 8 hours. It definitely comes off on your clothes at first, but when you take a shower that stuff washes right off and it's fine. I've done it for a lot of occasions including my mom's wedding. I think it looks really natural and never noticed it coming off on any of my white clothes.
However, I suggest going a few times to try it out and find someone you really like. Once I had this girl who was kind of new and totally oversprayed and it didn't look natural at all and I was streaky. It has to be done correctly.

I did a spray tan at Beach Bum and HATED it. It ruined the clothes I was wearing (which was to be expected, but still) and it was a streaky, orange mess.

Try airbrush tan with Brazil Bronze. They have multiple locations. I did it twice (once for my friend's wedding and once for mine) and I was thrilled with the results.

beach bum....i have done both the spray tan and airbrush there and liked both. i prefer airbrush though since u can customize ur color and it is less likely to come out streaky.

I did one before my brother's wedding, and then 2 before my wedding. I wore dark clothes the day of the appt, so it didn't stain the clothes. I will say that there was some stains on the inside of my dress (def. not outside or noticible to anyone else) that I noticed after the wedding. I am sure it'll come off when I get the dress cleaned, but it def. did rub off, even though I did the spray tan 2 days before the wedding. The person doing your spray tan will know what shade to do. I would recommend you doing the one where the person personally sprays you and not like a booth.
