Spray Tan

Spray Tan

I am a pretty pale person and I wanted a little color for the wedding. My wedding is in 3 weeks. I am afraid to go stray tanning because I am afraid the tan will rub off my white dress. Does this actually happen? and is it a good idea or should I just use a tanning bed?

if you are gonna do a spray tan, go to a place where a technician sprays you herself, rather than going into a machine that just does an overall spray. The ones done by a technician are more expensive, but the color is more tailored to you, and they make sure there won't be any streaks or anything. Just make sure you exfoliate your whole body before going so that the spray tan looks even more even and you should be fine. It wont rub off on your dress unless you get a spray tan the same day of your wedding lol- If you go a couple of days before, it will be totally dry by then and you shouldn't have to worry

I got an airbrush tan a few days before my wedding and it did rub off on the inside on my dress. I get them all the time but this was definitely a freak murphy's law incident...I was also a little streaky on my arms and my face was a slightly blotchy but my makeup artist fixed it up. So just be careful. I would just go in a regular tanning bed a few times if I were you.

A friend of mine told me that the inside of her dress was orange from her spray tan but I never noticed this at her wedding and I also dont know how far in advance she did the spray tan.

I'm also pretty pale and will probably go real tanning a few times. I know it's terrible for me but it's a once in a lifetime kind of thing!

I'm definitely going to get an airbrush tan. I will likely wear a corset under my dress, so if it does rub off, it'll rub onto the corset, not the dress. I plan on testing out a few over the summer and would be happy to share the results of my little experiment with everyone!

I'm planning to do a spray tan too...with a technician. I am going to a place that was recommended so i know it's good. I always do stand up tanning for like a month each summer but I am afraid of peeling - I tanned for my friend's wedding last year and the makeup artist said my face was peeling - she covered it up but if I were the bride I would not want that extra worry and extra cover up - esp in the summer!

I will try the spray tan when i do my boudoir shoot and will see how it works. I'll post my results
