Good Morning ladies, Is anyone getting a spray tan before their wedding? I've never done one before but would like a little color for the big day......all that white makes me look a little pasty. Any suggestions, I live in Nassau any recommendations of where to go? Thanks

beach bum has the open air spray tan and Hollywood tans has a spray booth. You just need to be very careful with getting it. You cant shower for several hours afterwards, the color rubs off on any light colored clothing you wear. The color isnt as dark from the automatic spray tans as it would be from actual tanning or even a custom spray tan...it lasts for about 2-3 days. (This is just my ecperience with and almost everyone I know who has gotten a spray tan...)
IMO instead of hitting an automatic spray tan, try a custom airbrushed tan or even try one of the tanning lotions (just use a lotion that is the shade darker than what you would buy ie. if you are a light-medium sking tone buy the dark lotion....it will give you color faster and also a deeper color)

I've done the airbrush tan at T.Carlton Spalon and LOVED it for weddings I've been in in the past. I plan on getting it done a few days before the wedding. The way they do it there is you go twice. Once for the inital spray and then the second time 2 days later for the 'touch up'. It works great!

Be sure to exfoliate before you go or your skin can look uneven. I learned my lesson before, lol!

i was thinking about doing this too. i use other lotions and tan towels, which i like, but they rub off on clothing. i'm afraid a spray tan might rub off on my dress. any opinions??

Definately do a test run beforehand, one of my BM's went to a place a couple of days before my wedding, and let's just say she resembled certain characters from Willy Wonka she was upset at the time, but we both laugh about it everytime we talk.

I would not advise that you get a spray tan.
I did it once for a sorority formal, and it was a nightmare. It was uneven, an unnatural color, and it rubbed off on my dress. This was the mystic tan thing @ Beach Bum.
I wouldn't recommend any self tanning lotions either because they all rub off, even when they say they won't. And you don't want that on your white dress!
Maybe an airbrushed bronzer would work..I don't know for sure I've never had one. Otherwise, I would say to build a nice tan slowly @ the tanning salon 1-2 times a week, starting about a month before your wedding. GL!!

i get an airbrush tan done and i love it - an actual person sprays me - i have an airbrush tan in all of my albums - my eparty, bpics and epics...for my eparty and i went a little darker than usual because my party was at the end of the summer and it was an outdoor party so i wanted to be darker...it has never rubbed off on my clothes...

I just recently got sprayed for a friends wedding. I loved the way it came out everywhere EXCEPT on my hands and feet. They were a bit uneven and darker than the rest of my body. For her wedding it was fine because who is looking that closely at MY hands and feet, but I wouldn't risk it for my own. Definitely get a trial.

ahh this happened to me the first time i went so i now i have a special routine i follow i wipe all my nails (hands and feet) with lotion and a piece of cotton as soon as im done getting sprayed - its also good to wipe the palms of your hands with lotion and cotton as well - then about 30 mins after the spray is done i rinse only my hands and my feet (up to my wrists and ankles) and ive never had dark hands or feet again! ive gone a lot so i know what i have to do for the tan to look its best....also exfoliate before you go!

I've gotten a spray tan (the one where the girl actually airbrushes you) several times - it came out great. I would suggest you do it apprx 2 days before the wedding. The color will wash off a bit in the first shower, but you want to make sure it doesnt get on your dress....
I went to Sunplicity in Lindenhurst, they are great. the prices arent bad either. You wouldnt need an entire body spray, just the upper 1/2. its not sooo dark that it would look funny. It just gives you a nice glow. Def recommend it. Try it before your wedding, and if youre happy with the results, def go for it.

TRY THIS LOtion its called JUSt Glow by Jergens it helps give u a natural bronzing look ..... by it and use it for lik a couple weeks everyday until u reach the color u wwant ... i think spray tans mak u look orange

okayy well I have gotten the personal spray tan once before and it looked amazing-- I have never been sooo tan.....
BUT when you sweat it gets on your clothes (ESPECIALLY WHITE) ... when you and fh kiss if saliva gets around your lips you will have a white ring around your mouth (spray tan comes off) .... when you wash your hands if any water drips down your arms and you catch it a min later you will have a white line going down your arm-----
but besides all that it looked good? lol idk it was too much of a hassle and I honestly wouldnt want to ruin my gown or look uneven--
