I am on spring break next week but my sister is getting married and I will be away at @Dani10's bachelorette party so I don't know how much I will be getting done lol. Thank god my wedding is at the end of August so I will get at least almost 2 whole months off to organize myself.

What did you pick for your menu items?
We did our tasting on Friday. We had the salmon (liked it the best!!), roasted sage chicken, shell steak and spinach ravioli as the vegetarian meal. The chicken was good , the ravioli SO good. The steak wasn't bad but was a little bland. I really wanted to try the chateau briand. I'm a big steak lover so I wanna get the best tasting one, lol! We also saw the ballroom all done up as the guests were eating their meals. Everything looked so awesome. So excited!

Re: Spring Break Checks!

For my bridgeview ladies- we went with the pistachio basil crusted salmon- YUM! The chateau briand steak was AWESOME and the roasted sage chicken! It was actually all the stuff we had at our tasting.. just loved it so much! The hardest part was the passed hors d'oeuvres and the stations!

As far as the cake tasting… omg you're going to have SO much fun! Allison was so great to work with and the cake is going to be AMAZING! We're doing 2 layers of vanilla cake and a layer of red velvet with oreo cookie filling :) I want it RIGHT NOW!

SO many fun checks Marisa!! You're motivating me to get started on some of these too. Definitely OOT bags. That I can handle lol

As for the Brideview food, we had the Chateaubriand at our tasting, it was good but we were both curious about the shell steak. We're definitely on for the sage chicken and the basil crusted salmon (AMAZING). I'm thinking the ravioli sounds like a good veggie choice. We had the eggplant at our tasting, yummy but not something we'd probably choose.

Can't wait to get on the ball choosing the hors d'oeuvres and the stations! Did you do the menu with Bridgeview already or just chose from the list they gave?

The shell steak was ok. It wasn't bad by any means, but it def needed some seasoning. It was very thick and a BIG cut of meat! That's why I was curious about the chateaubriand bc it has some kinda herb crust. I agree the salmon was awesome and I don't eat fish! We had the sage chicken too, I'm not sure what the other chicken option is. The couple that night had the spinach ravioli as their vege meal and it was seriously so good. I def want it on my menu. Samantha said to come back in June to make our menu official. I just wish we coulda tasted the cocktail stations! What did you pick or planning to pick for those? It's so hard, I want them all, lol! I'm gonna call Alison this week about the cake. We both have off next week so I'm hoping we can go sometime then so try some flavors. Yummmmmm

The chateaubriand was pretty good. I'm gonna have a tough time picking between that and the shell steak! The spinach ravioli seriously sounds amazing. I agree about the cocktail stations, wish we could try those! Without having tasted any of those, FH and I are thinking we definitely want the Coney Island station (fun and will definitely make our picky eaters happy). I love mashed potato stations but i think it's hard for people to carry those mashed potato martini glasses around (at least it is at other venues). We're thinking either the South of the Border station or the smokehouse station as our other choice. What are you thinking? Marisa which did you guys choose?
