So we got home from our honeymon yesterday and 2 my surprise our marriage lissance was here already! so now tomoarw my last day off of work i get to spend it at the dmvb & social sercurity... however i do no know were te social seceruity office is in suffolk conty, ne one out there know? Oh and do I need to make a appt to go and get my name changed on my ss card??? thanks for the help! :)

There is one on Oak Street in Patchogue (75 Oak Street).
Go to ssa.gov and on the left side click 'Find a Social Security Office'; put in your zip code and it should tell you the nearest office.

go to SSA.gov and put in locator... it will get u put in ur zip and pull up the ones by you... I use this for work since I need to go to social securtites all over for clients

i brought my marriage license, the paperwork already filled out, my old ss card, my birth certificate, and my passport (i wanted to be sure that i had everything they could possibly ask for lol)
i think she only ended up needing my old ss card, my license and my marriage license

I went to the one in patchogue... and boy was that fun (sarcastic of course)
No you dont need an appointment.. just show up.. take a number.. and wait 8 hours... (ok fine it was only about 35 minutes)
All they needed from me was my marriage license.. but I brought my birth certificate just incase.
