This is not my church, it is FH's. For those getting married or those who got married there, can we throw anything outside the church? I know they are VERY strict with everything, but I wanted to do rose petals or something.
Thanks.

Re: ST. CATHERINE OF SIENNA - FRANKLIN SQUARE
My photographer is right next door, so they do a lot of weddings there. I checked their website and I did see a picture of rose petals on the church steps... Here's the LINK

Yes, you can throw flower/rose petals. I went to two wedding ceremonies there in the past year 1 had flower petals and the other used bubbles. Hope this helps!

You cannot throw rose petals at this church, you also cannot throw rice....You CAN blow bubbles.... I know this because my sister got married there in 2004...This is always the rules....They do not like rose petals because then they have to clean up the mess the make...And rice kills the birds.... hope this helps....I will be getting married there too....

Thanks guys! I guess I should call the church, I'm afraid that if I ask them directly and get the wrong person, they will say no bc they don't want to clean them up.

I feel the same way. I am also getting married there. I wasn't told that you couldnt throw rose petals or rice and when I look in all the papers they gave us no where does it say you can throw rose petals or rice. I had also heard that the flower girls couldn't drop pedals down the aisle. But I dont want to future inquire just in case someone does tell me no. A girl I did precana with said she has seen pedals used so lets hope they are ok with it.

Hi Melissa!
And btw, I've been to weddings there before (not recently though) b/c this is my church and has been since I was born, and I don't think there are any crazy restrictions. But again, I haven't been to a wedding there in a few years. I'd call the rectory and ask.
