SO....I am currently looking into a hotel block for the St. James/Stonybrook area...
We are getting married at Flowerfield's and the closest hotels the RH recommends is still 15 away...I have seen'
Islandia Marriott
Hyatt Regency
Hampton Inn (Islandia)
Going to see Holiday Inn Express on Friday in Stonybrook...
Does anyone have any hotel suggestions where I could block at least 10-15 rooms?????

I went to a wedding at Flowerfield last year and the block was at the Hyatt in Hauppague and it was gorgeous! It was worth the extra few minutes to and from.

There is the Hilton Garden Inn on the stony brook campus. It's brand new. I think it's openning next month. With that being said I think the rates of the local hotels will drop because of competition. I will follow up with the rates that you blocked in April just in case they drop.

We are booked at the Sheraton in Hauppauge. We liked it because there is no financial obligation to us if all the room aren't booked.

We're also getting married at Flowerfield and decided on the new Hilton Garden Inn at Stonybrook. As previously stated just opened up. The fact that it's about a 5 minute drive compared to an almost 20 minute drive was a big difference maker for us.

Thank you so much ladies!!! I will definitely check out Hilton Garden Inn...The Hyatt was gorgeous but I didn't like their service...it took them over a week to call my fiance back with pricing....
anyway...thank you again!

I personally felt the Holiday Inn was fine. It was just renovated recently and 5 minutes down the road. Plus, there is a free breakfast.

I am using the Hilton Garden Inn in Ronkonkoma. I don't know where that is in relation to your venue, but they have been very accomodating and my friends used them this past August and had a great experience with them. HTHWelcome New Vendors
