Re: st joes
I graduated from St. Joes in 2002. I LOVE that school. They prepared me for teaching more than I can imagine. I actually know some administrators who will only take student teachers if they are from St. Joes, they are in a class by themselves. Yes I did get my dual certification in elem/special ed. I am not sure how they do it now b/c there are different requirememnts from the state. Good luck, let me know if you have any questions or need any help. You will love it.

Re: st joes
I graduated in 2006. I was the first class to fall under the new requirements from the state. Instead of K-12 certification, I recieved B-2 Early Childhood Education and General Ed. and Special Education and 1-6 Early Childhood and Childhood gen ed. and sped.
Basically,..you can teach B-6 general and special ed.
You got lucky though. The Child Study Dept took out some of the chapters in the thesis program they have. So, that is a plus!!! If you have any questions, let me know!! I love love love ST. Joe's. You also have to pick a concentration, besides Child Study.
