St. Kitts (repost from HM forum)

Has anyone been to St. Kitts?? My goal for our HM destination has been to find an island that has a casino for FH, but also has a lot of tours and history and ATV-type stuff to do during the days. FH and I are not the type to do the water sports and all that. I also wanted a place with (not too long of) a direct flight.

I came across St. Kitts and have fallen in love with it (at least from what I have seen of it). The Marriott there looks GORGEOUS! American Airlines JUST began nonstop service there this past weekend, AND there's a casino inside the Marriott - everything I wanted!

I went on Trip Advisor to read reviews and most were positive. The few negatives I saw were about the beach being dirty and unfriendly staff, but those reviews were few and far between.

We haven''t booked it yet. Has anyone been there and can comment? I would appreciate it!!

Someone I worked with lived there--like it has been said, it is not very developed, but they loved it there and he worked for the casinos actually
Things are very inexpensive there and the beaches are beautiful
