St Lucia

Hi ladies!

So we are hoping to book our honeymoon this weekend. We've decided on St. Lucia (we think). Does anyone know anything about the Sandals Grande or the Regency??? Any info or tips would be much appreciated.

THANKS SO MUCH!

Re: St Lucia

I haven't stayed there or anything, but I was able to get prices and information sent to me through the sandals website. Also a friend of mine just went to St Lucia for her Honeymoon so she did some comparing.

Both of us loved the idea that if you stay at one hotel of theirs on the island you can use all amenities and restaurants and such at any of their 3 locations and they seem to provide transportation between the locations. We were also drooling over the idea of eating our own private dinner on a dock or in the middle of the water, however, we (my friend and I) both think that they are too expensive, well unless you get some really good deal through a travel agent. Ultimately she stayed at a different All inclusive resort in St. Lucia, with similar accommodations for much less. She even had a room with her own private plunge pool as does many of the Sandals resorts.

Although My FH and I would love to stay at Sandals, we too decided we couldn't afford it.

Other than price I've never heard anything bad from any of their resorts and only good things from St. Lucia.
Let me know if you want info on her location and I can ask her for it.

Re: St Lucia

we are going to be staying at the Grande because we are huge beach people and we heard that their beach is the best out of the 3 plus you can eat and drink at the others whenever you want

Re: St Lucia

We stayed at the Grande and were SO happy we did! The Regency is built on a VERY hilly area, so walking to and from your room is like a hike! You even need transportation to get around some parts of the resort.

The Halycon is way too small and have the least favorite restaurants there. Their beach is tiny and there were creepy locals on the beaches at night.

The Grande is the biggest, easiest to navigate and has great restaurants. We were VERY happy we chose the Grande!

Just so you know, it is about 1.5-2 hours from the airport to the resort...the ride is HORRIBLE! Just so you know lol
