My BFF is currently HMing in St Lucia and she called her mom when she got there and told her to tell me that it is AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL!

I can't wait for the full review! 45days to the wedding so only 47 days until paradise AND i am fully paid off as of Friday!

originally, FH and I had also planned on HMing at the grande st. lucian BUT we are in the process of buying a condo and dont know that we will have the money to swing this type of an escapade as we havent spoken with any TA yet, would you ladies be so kind as to let me know about what it would cost for a week? FM or here, i dont need exact details, we just dont really know what we are looking at ...

please FM me too! FH and I want to go to the grande st. lucian too for a week. we talked to a travel agent a month or 2 ago but she was not very helpful so we kind of put honeymoon stuff on the back burner.

also, how does it work with payments? do you have to pay it all upfront?

we are paying about $5000 for 7 nights in the Honeymoon Oceanfront Room

Flying from JFK to St Lucia on the 14th and returning on the 21st

there are MUCH cheaper rooms but we wanted room service so this was the cheapest with room service

remember girls - this is an ALL inclusive so, besides tipping, you may not spend a dime when you go! We are budgeting to spend about $500 there for some special activities like the SPA, a candle lit dinner and one tour.

we had to pay two deposits - one to book the land and one to book the air. . . and we owe the balance on november 30th (almost $4000)

That's pretty much the same exact thing we did. We booked 8 days in a HM Oceanfront room. We could have saved with another room but we wanted the room service. I got my airfare and room together w/ the ta though-so we only had to make one deposit to the TA for both. And we're paying the balance a month before we leave. Can't wait!!!!!!!

So exciting... we are going there too. By any chance do you know what kind of plane you have to get on for the transfer? My FH is so scared of flying and hates small planes
