Anyone have any opinions on which is better? Ive been to St. Johns but I was like 8 and I dont remember much. We will either be staying at Virgin Grand Villas on St. John or Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort on St. Lucia. We are going the first week in October this year.

We went to Sandals Halcyon on St. Lucia for our HM and really loved everything about the place. The only thing to consider, if you are going to travel with your kids, is that most of the resorts in St. Lucia seem to be located on the north part of the island. It takes a little over an hour to get from the airport to the resorts unless you fly into the smaller airport (I don't think commercial airliners can land there). The roads are quite winding and both times we had maniac drivers. I can see kids being nervous and/or carsick!
Trip Advisor is a great site and will have reviews of both resorts. I've never been to St. John but I would love to go to St. Lucia again.

I went to St. Lucia on my HM cruise. I loved it. It is so pretty & green. The interior part of the Island is all rain forest. Are you going to explore or just stay at the resort?
St. Johns is also supposed to be beautiful. Not as much to do, more undisturbed nature. We were supposed to go hiking there when our cruise was stopped at St. Thomas, but the tour was cancelled.

I flew into the smaller airport on an American Eagle flight. The airport is extremely small, but does handle smaller (40-60 seat) commercial prop planes.

i have been to both. st.john is the most beutiful island i have ever been to!!! the water and the beaches were amazing. I loved it there, and you could take a 20 minute ferry to st. thomas

my friend is from the islands, he has been to almost all of them, and lived on a few..he said our next vacation has to be to st.john, that it is breath taking

St. John's Trunk Bay is voted one of the top beaches in the world! I believe them, it's beautiful. I went there two years ago.
Last summer I went on a cruise that stopped at St. Lucia, it was also beautiful...very green.
You can do a lot at both islands I guess. I wished we had a longer time at St. Lucia because I would have loved to visit the Pitons (those two tall mountains) and gone through some caves. However, at St. John's you can take a ferry to St. Thomas and go do some of their great shopping.

Danielle and I went to St Lucia for our honeymoon and stayed at the Sandals Grane St Lucian...It was amazing.....I would love to go back. Scott
