St. Lucia Sandals

I've heard great things about the Grande and La Toc. Which one is better and why? Which room would you suggest?

FH and I went to the Grande a couple years ago and did not have the best experience. It was loud on the beach, the rooms were not terribly nice and the staff was very rude. Let's just say if there wasn't a snowstorm in NY and there was an earlier flight available, we would have packed it in after 2 days.
We went to La Toc for dinner one night, and it seemed a little nicer. Not sure about the beach because it was dark so no one was on it, but I liked the setup better there.
I would definitely get a butler suite. We did not because it wasn't our HM and we were treated like second class citizens. Truthfully, if you can't/would rather not pay for the butler suite, I'd suggest going elsewhere. There are some other beautiful resorts in St. Lucia (Anse Chastanet is one) as well as other islands in the Caribbean. Good luck!!

In my opinion the Grande is much nicer than La Toc. I would splurge to stay there if you can. We stayed at the Grande for our HM and we met lots of people who were coming to use the facilities there because they were better than the ones at La Toc and Halcyon. We went to La Toc for golf and for dinner at the French restaurant and thought it was just ok. The beach and main pool area were unimpressive.
