I have a question for anyone who has already been married at St. Paraskevi Greek Orthodox Church in Greenlawn, or is going to get married there and has already set up a meeting...is this a parish that requires the brides to cover their shoulders? I'm not Greek, but FH is, and we haven't yet set up an appointment to go over the rules. The only pictures I've ever seen of a ceremony there, the bride had cap sleeves, but I don't know if she did because that was her preference or she was REQUIRED to do so.
Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated!

Re: St. Paraskevi Brides
I got married at St. Paraskevi last year, neither my shoulders or any of the girls in my bridal party had their shoulders covered. However, I did speak to the priest before and he was fine with it. HTH. If you have anymore questions let me know.

Re: St. Paraskevi Brides
That's awesome, we're church twins and reception twins!
Was your priest Father Demetrios? If so, then I'll feel a lot more comfortable going ahead and buying the dress I am looking at. I'd go for a lace bolero only if I absolutely am required to do so, otherwise they're so expensive for such a little thing!
