St Patrick Church Huntington - strapless wedding gown

Does anyone know if you can wear a strapless wedding gown at st patricks church in Huntington?

what do people usually do if they want to wear a strapless gown and get married in the church?

I don't know for sure, but I bet you can. St Pat's isn't known for being a really conservative parish. Are you getting married there? Have you asked your priest or their wedding coordinator?

It's such a large church, I'd be afraid of it being drafty, so I'd want a shawl if I were to wear a strapless gown. jmo, though.

I have never come across a church that did not allow a strapless dress. Even the most conservative that I know, OLPH in lindenhurst is ok with this.

yes, im getting married there. i tried calling today, but didnt get through to anyone, so ill try again monday. im just trying to get an answer before that.

i think ill be warm enough in a strapless. a little strap isnt going to do much to keep me warm anyway.

It's not so much that they don't allow a strapless dress, as it is that they ask you to cover up with a shawl, or request or state in their literature that a dress should be 'modest' or 'tasteful' etc.

I am 99% sure you can wear strapless at St. Patricks, I don't remember the priest saying you couldn't when he went over everything with us

for the record, you can 100% wear a strapless gown at st patricks in huntington. of course, it must be tasteful, but most gowns are. i spoke with my priest today.
