St. Rose of Lima in Massapequa

Anyone getting married/got married recently at St.Rose? I have 2 questions - how strict are they about the music choices being totally religious? and does anyone have a picture of the decorations they used there? I hear Town Florist does something beautiful with candles there, but I cant quite picture it. THANK YOU

Re: St. Rose of Lima in Massapequa

I got married there May 5, 2001. I used music off of the sheet they gave me, but I'm pretty sure if it's 'appropriate' they won't have a problem with it.

Town Florist did the church for me and it was beautiful - simple yet elegant with candles, bows and flowers, etc. It looked gorgeous -- all my flowers from there were stunning. Keep in mind that SROL is such a big church you really only need to decorate the first few rows or section -- even with a ton of guests the church looks empty!

Let me look back at my pics and see if I can describe it better for you!
