so it seems that my wonderful travel agent can get us a very similar price to go to Sandals Montego Bay. Would you choose that over St Thomas?

I would say st thomas only b/c its the same price and if it is similar vacations. St thomas is usually more expensive so you can always go to Jamaica for cheaper down the road.

I'm not a fan of jamaica.. so I say no.. I would choose St Thomas

Sandals Montego Bay is practically on the airport. Go with St. Thomas or have your TA find you another resort in Jamaica.
