There are so many pros and cons to both.....but I'm looking for a set that won't react with the food (I'm paranoid about health effects).....that won't burn the food or cause it to stick unnecessarily....and is easy to clean. What are you girls going for?

Re: Stainless Steel or Non-Stick?
i am going with Stainless steel. they are both good and im sure, like you said, there are pros and cons about both but i heard that the stainless can be bad for you.

Re: Stainless Steel or Non-Stick?
I registered for a set of stainless steel ones, but also a couple of non-stick saute and omelete pans since sauting veggies and omeletes are things most likely to stick

Re: Stainless Steel or Non-Stick?
i think we are registering for non stick instead of stainless steel - fsil has stainless pots (expensive ones im sure of it) and food sticks to them

Re: Stainless Steel or Non-Stick?
FH got a set of pretty nice non-stick this past summer, so we only registered for stainless....

Re: Stainless Steel or Non-Stick?
right now i use farberware pots that are as old as me and nothing sticks to them and they are super light....they were my moms pots i will be sad to see them go! i dont know what they are made out of - i think they are the least expensive pots you can get but like i said i LOVE them.... i think we are putting non stick on our registry - hopefully they'll be easier to clean - staineless steel pots are nice looking though

Re: Stainless Steel or Non-Stick?
well.. im a big cooker and baker, so i think stainless stain (the good ones) are better. the food doesn't stick if you watch it and stir it. i've used non-stick and after years they wear out more.
im a huge all-clad fan!!
