Stainless Steel or NonStick

Original post by Jan05Bride

I was wondering what you chose for your pots and pans and WHY ??

I chose non-stick (Calphalon Hard Anodized Commerical 10-pc set) and already received them as a gift and am second guessing the choice.
I know that you cannot put non-stick in a dishwasher. Besides that being a selling point for Stainless Steel, what are the other benefits?
My father, who is an avid cook, said non-stick was easier to use when cooking which is why I chose non-stick.

Any opinions?

I have Calphalon SS pots and pans with glass lids, and I LOVE them.

The one thing I'd really like to get, though, is one of those non-stick square griddles for cooking eggs. My eggs ALWAYS seem to stick, no matter what. But my mom has the griddle thing and it's GREAT!!

I have both: I have several open stock Calphalon non stick frying pans, griddle and chef's pan and I also have the Belgique Gourmet Stainless steel set from Macys...I like both for different reasons.
