Ok, so basically sometime in June the stamps are going to go up right? Ok, so the increase is 2 cents right? so the invite should have a 63 cents stamp and a 2 cents stamp right? and the response card should have a 39 cent stamp and a 2 cents stamp correct? Just want to make sure...thanks girls!

Re: stamp question
I just e-mailed the US Postal Service this week, and they responded saying that they do not know for sure when the increase will go into effect, but that 'it will not be before May.' (The clerk at the Plainview P.O. told me that rate increases usually happen in January or July, but that they have not been told the specifics about this one yet.) On their website, it also says that there will be new wedding stamps in 2007, but did not give a release date for those. I am assuming they will release them to coincide with the rate increase. Therefore, you may not need to add the extra 2 cents stamp, if the new wedding stamps are available by the time you need them.

Re: stamp question
Oh no - what happens if I send my invites out BEFORE the increase, but the increase goes into effect before the responses come back?!
That would be just my luck. It's not like we can buy the increased postage ahead of time... I'll have to add 2 cent stamps then.

Grrr... If the increase hasn't happened before I send them out, I'll have to add 2 cent stamps to the response cards. Ugh - I don't want to do that! Not that I care about the 2 cents, but I don't want the envelopes to look like that.
