as some of you know - i put together my invites last nite!! all in all it took about 2 hours between stuffing, sealing, labeling & re-checking the list!! not too bad huh?
so anyways - my LAST invite question for you all... how many stamps did you need to put on the outside envelope?? i'm an idiot and didnt consider that it may be heavier & need more then one stamp - so i have all these extra stamps... but i was just curious before i went to the post office how many stamps other ppl needed
TIA!!

Re: stamp question
I just brought an invitaiton to the PO to have it weighed. Then I bought special stamps made for heavier (wedding) envelopes, I think they're 58 cent stamps. Very pretty too!

Re: stamp question
I am bringing my invitation to be weighed before we buy stamps. i know that when i was getting the postage for my save the dates the lady asked if i had one with me. she weighed it and looked at the shape of the envelope. if it is a square envelope it costs more than 58 cents to mail.

Re: stamp question
mine are going out March 8, the envelopes are rectangles, I was surprised that regular stamps weren't enough bc mine aren't really heavy!

we just put them together last night & i was planning on sending them out within the next couple of weeks. i know its a little early - i'm trying to avoid making phone calls to get ppls RSVPs & we dont have a few addresses so i didnt want to wait until the last minute to be rushing around getting those addresses
i'm just really mad b/c i spent like $90 on 11 books of stamps b/c i didnt even think that they were going to cost more!! do you think i should just put 2 stamps on some & then buy the 58 cent ones for the rest???

Re: stamp question
You have to have it weighed. We were just over the 58c mark and had to put 2 41 cent stamps on!!

bring it to the PO they'll tell you how much postage you need and they can show you all the pretty stamps they have that will meet that
