How much is it to mail a 5.5 x 3 response card & envelop? Will a basic $.42 stamp work?
It's raining and the PO seems sooooooooooooo far away!
TIA ladies!

Re: Stamps for Response Card Envelops
I think its 42 cents, depending on the size, lenght and weight but each one is different. I have seen response cards that are long shaped and require more postage. You should pay it safe and take one card to the post office and have them weigh it for you (its free).
Also, if you go to zazzle.com they have great stamps - you can have them printed with your pictures on it! so cute and a nice touch. They can do it any postage you want

Not sure about the postage but was wondering what your RSVP date is? You and I are getting married on the same date and our invites just came in last night (my mom picked them up and I haven't even seen them yet!). We plan on mailing them out early July for out of towners and mid/end of July for local people. Our RSVP date is Sept 8th.

Our RSVP date is 8/22. I'm planning to mail them out early July as well, maybe earlier because I'm so excited to get them out already!!!!
I figure if people repsond right away, great! If people are late, then I have time before I need to start hunting people down for repsonses

I'm too impatient to make something up and wait around for Zazzle to deliver! I want to stamp these bad boys tonight and stuff my invites while I watch Ugly Betty and Grey's!!!

If you order overnight delivery from Zazzle they bump your order to the top and process it immediately so you don't have to wait around!

Re: Stamps for Response Card Envelops
question about custom stamps on RSVP cards: Are people familiar enough with custom stamps to know they're real? I'm afraid we'll spend all this time and money to create custom stamps and people won't think they're real and put their own postage on top!
We're doing custom stamps on the outer envelope of our invitations, so people who notice those will know they're real but do most people even notice the stamp on the outer envelope?

Re: Stamps for Response Card Envelops
I wouldn't worry about people putting another stamp on top. It's customary for the rsvp to have the postage already provided so even if they haven't seen a custom stamp before they should still figure it out.
