Standard vs High Def (Blu Ray) Video?

Is paying extra $$$ for High Def/Blu Ray DVD video worth it? FH and I differ on opinions. Your thoughts?

I think it depends on the quality of the video. If you have blue ray and your system is compatible with the DVD then y not. The Blue Ray has a clearer image and sharp contrast compared to standard. Personally, I think standard is fine though. If they're charging a lot for the blue ray just go with the standard.

How about having it shot with an HD camera....the price difference is minimal (typically $200 or so), this will still give you an EXTEMELY crisp video and is cost efficient.
