Because this new trilogy is filled with obscure references and is boring and crappy (Not withstanding this last one maybe.)
I am a BIG SW fan - of the original trilogy. I had the role playing game. Giant sci-fi geek, Lord of the Rings is my favorite movie. But DH has to see this one on his own. If he says it's good, I may see it later. But he knows me well enough - if I don't like a movie enough, I'll walk out.

Re: Star Wars
I am one of the few brides here that was alive when the original Star Wars movie came out in 1977. It was released and then re-released because movies werent on video then, I hated it then and I hate it now. Sci-fi just aint my bag baby!
Theonly cool thing about it is that everyone called me princess because my Hebrew name is Leah(Leia). They still do. And if you saw Spaceballs...'Funny, you don't look DRUISH!'

Re: Star Wars
I warned DH that if he sees it without me, I will file for divorce! LOL He's in DC without me right now, but he promised not to go with his friends. But now I have to wait till Memorial Day weekend to see it.

Re: Star Wars
I loved the new movie!! I thought it was significantly better than Episodes 1 and 2. There were a few things that I wasn't thrilled with, but otherwise, I thought it was great!

I also saw the original when it come out in the theatres. I remember not being terribly impressed, so I never saw any of the the other movies.
FH wants to see the latest, but he decided to wait until it is out on DVD, then he is going to watch all six!
