Re: starlight express
I used them for my wedding, they did an amazing job and real great to work with. Also very important for me was that they actually used songs from my playlist and played everything i wanted and listened to all my do not play songs too.
Great energy and kept the dance floor packed all night

Re: starlight express
I used them for my wedding and they were the only vendor I was dissapointed with.
They played the wrong song when I walked down the aisle, the didn't play the last dance song that I requested and they did not play one song off of my must play list. And my must play list only had about 7 or 8 songs on it.
Other than those issues, my MC was fabulous and for the most part, my DJ really knew how to read the crowd. Everyone was dancing.

Re: starlight express
I am using them for my wedding in July, and i have also seen them at other peoples weddings as well and they were amazing!
We saw them at a Leonards showcase and they completely blew the other DJ that was there out of the water. If you have any doubts, try to see if they have any showcases coming up.

Honestly, the only thing I was super pissed about was the song for me walking down the aisle. I specifically asked them to NOT play 'Here Comes the Bride', I wanted 'Canon in D'. What did the MF'er play? Here Comes the Bride, I was horrified. I had my Maitre'D confront him and he said 'oh, well, I wasn't aware', then my Maitre'D pretty much shoved my Request/Must Play Sheet in his face and the DJ stuttered and didn't know what to say.
As for the must play list, it's not worth it for me to be angry anymore. I think they played 1 song out of 6 or 7. Otherwise, the DJ played great music and everyone was dancing.
It just makes me a little mad bc I paid so much for Starlight and in the end they were the only vendor that dissapointed.

who was your dj? i would call vinny and say something. Vinny is really on top of these things and wouldnt want to know his dj's are doing this. Sorry that happened, but i would def call vinny.
I went the week of my wedding to meet with the dj and sat with him for an hour going over all my must play songs, i gave a very long list lol and he copied it for him to have, we even talked very thoroughly about what i dont want and what i want. Gave him a do not play list. He also helped me out with old house songs that i didnt know the artist and just knew the name of the song and he got them for me. I have to say that every single song i requested he played. Then i told him for songs that he will play on his own what style i want and he played exactly that. And even during the party he went over things with me. I know that is the type of attention vinny wants his dj's to have. I dont know who you used but thats not right and they should have at least apologized.

Re: starlight express
Why does nothing come up when you search for starlight express? I know a ton of people have used them, and I was going to suggest to search on 'the brides review' but now when you search for them nothing comes up...

I'm not sure who my DJ was. Vinny was my MC though. A week before the wedding we went in and finalized everything with Paul and I walked away a little disenchanted. He didn't seem interested in anything me or my husband had to say. He just looked everything over, made a photocopy to put in our file and that's all.
I really didn't want to make a HUGE deal out of it bc other than the snafu with the aisle song, they were pretty great.

Re: starlight express
My brother used Starlight for his wedding 6 years ago and they were great. My cousin used them this summer for his wedding and EVERYONE loved them. We met with them and were going to book with them. The only reason we didn't is bc when I called to book I never got a return call.
