It was AMAZING. Mostly just orientation stuff today along with a 2 hour lecture on the history of medicine... but some of the speeches, especially by the dean of medicine and the chancellor of the medical school, were so inspirational that they gave me chills. It is sooooooo unbelievable when you work your a$$ off for something, and at times the goal seems so unattainable... and then you finally REALIZE that goal... I cannot even describe the feeling. I met some amazing people from everywhere in the country and some originally from abroad... and I have a new family with whom I will be working verrry closely for the next four years of my life. It's going to be a tough four years but I could not be happier about it.
