And this job does belong in one of the lower levels of hell. I feel like I shouldn't complain, because I only have 52 people, but we have very odd numbers at some tables, unless we decide to mix generations.
Just where to put our families is causing problems too. I keep feeling someone is going to feel slighted since it is such a small, intimate group.
I was joking with FH that we should just throw table numbers in a fish bowl and let each couple/attendee choose one!

I can't imagine doing the seating.... we are having over 200 and I am sure that it will be an awesome task.

I'm sorry that it is a nightmare. I know it is going to be for me to cause my fh parents are not married anymore. I'm still waiting for all of my respones to com back.

Yes it was quite hellish..... ours is done --I think, unless I get more RSVP changes or parent changes, I won't write the table numbers on our placecards yet since we keep getting changes. GOOD LUCK!!

I did not enjoy doing the seating at all. By the end of it I honestly didn't care who sat with who!!
Mine was pretty easy... I let my parents do their guests and ILs do theirs and there wasnt too much left for our own.

Thanks for your responses! It's not pleasant, but after thinking about it somemore, I don't think there are people coming who hate each other. It's more a matter of wanting eveyrone to be happy with their seats, but probably not everyone will be no matter what I do.
