Starting to feel so 'real'.....(funny story)
Last night we had our first counseling session at our church with another couple.
It wasn't really so much counseling but just a run-through of what oiur day would be like. The pastor took us through the church and did a mini-run through of our wedding from start to finish. And I love my Pastor -- he's young, funny and really down to earth, and realistic I guess.
So he shared with us some of his own personal wedding nightmare stories to prevent them from happening to us on our day. And he was talking about where to stand (there are 2 altars in my church) and let us say a line or two of our vows. And he said there is usually the calm & collected bride, the one that crys, or the one that laughs during their vows. So he practiced with the other couple at the altar that is closer to the pews. Then with my FH and I he practiced at the altar further from the pews. And FH started to say a line from our vows and when it was my turned I was HYSTERICAL laughing and giggling.
I could not help it. Then I regained myself. And as I started to say 'I, Stephanie......' I lost it again.
I felt to silly. But my Pastor reminded us to give him a quick look on the day of -- it will help ground us. Oh boy!! I hope I got it out of my system. I really think I will be fine the day of. But generally when I get nervous I guess I am giggly.
But just being in our church last night made everything feel so real!!
We've been planning since August of 2005 so to be less than a month and a 1/2 away now is such an incredible feeling.
Love it!! Can't wait till September 14th
