I sent you the quotes for places I had awhile ago, I remember, and I'm sure those prices have already gone up since then. Let FH know that if you book now, you can lock in 2013 pricing. If you wait until, say, 2015, to book, you could be looking at $5 or $10 more per person, which really adds up. Same goes for any vendor, the price is going to keep going up. If you lock in a venue now, you can save to make the payments and it will be less than if you waited.

starting to get depressed - Long Island Weddings

2014

DECEMBER
Saturday quotes:
Old field club: 145pp with a 125 minimum
Flowerfield: 90pp with a 130 minimum
willow Creek: 110pp with a 150 minimum

each quote is the quote and then there is tax and tip on top of those

The best thing to do is decide how much you can spend and go from there! Best of luck!

For Stonebridge Country Club I was quoted 105pp++ for January of 2015. I called them out because the Lessings website said 59-99pp++ and they said that was their pre-renovation prices. They will be undergoing renovations this winter and prices are going up. The best they said they would do is 95pp++. I have a bunch of other places that aren't on your list if you want them!

I dont have quotes for the places you requested but I do agree with the idea of locking in the cheaper, current, prices.

However..I did this with everything. We booked everything while we were both happily blissful graduate students living off student loans. This is the year we set aside for 'having jobs and saving money for the wedding'. Well, FH found a teaching job in North Carolina, so that pays like pennies, and I still haven't found a job. I have faith everything will get paid for, but it sucks because I am 9 months away from my wedding and I am the farthest thing from excited because I am so stressed about the money. Hear out your FH because he has a point. Good luck.

starting to get depressed - Long Island Weddings

This is from my friends who told me when they went looking but:

Fox Hollow during winter time was around $85 pp
Venetian Yacht Club during fall/winter was around $75-$85 pp
I know someone who got married at Flowerfields this summer and only paid like $70 pp but that was basically because she booked her wedding date within 6 months and I think they just wanted to fill the date.

THIS! some people hate the idea of CANCELLATION WEDDING but hey.... remember its a business to them, so if you are flexible with the dates this is a good way to get a lower price. I was gonna say the Same... someone who had a 'cancellation wedding' at flowerfields...and they booked it like 8 months in advice, so its not like you have to do it within three months!!

FH proposed 7/4/10 and we didn't book our hall until March of last year. We bought a home and were doing major renov. Between that and planning a wedding, would have really stressed us out. Don't rush it like angelicd77 said. Everything will work out.
