STAY AWAY FROM THIS DRY CLEANER - Hom's Cleaners Commack!

THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE TO SAY ABOUT HOW HORRIFIC THIS DRY CLEANERS IS!!

Please look at the albums...

If you don't know, I got an early christmas gift, my mom's old things from her wedding.

I feel terrible that I didn't like the pillow now.. Anyway, asked on the boards here for a recommendation on where to get it cleaned.

Brought it to this cleaners, and he DESTROYED IT! No thought about it whatsoever. We were supposed to pick it up right before new years but mom picked it up today and she is so upset.

He gave her back a bag with damp filling from the pillow, a damp pillow now destroyed after 38 years!!!

I feeel absolutely disgusted and sad that its all my fault for bringing it to this horrible store. They STAINED her veil for the veil and cord ceremony too! He said it was there already but I have picture that its not!!! But that does no good. He still has it in his possession and I'm so upset that it will get even more destroyed too.

This is a horrific start to the New Year. I just don't even know what to say other than to warn others not to go to this dry cleaner for your wedding things!

If you don't know how to clean something, don't rip it open to see what is inside!!! Just admit you can't clean it!!!!

OMG that is horrible! I'm sorry you had to go through this. I know nothing will be able to replace this sentimental items but did they offer an apology and/or reimbursement?

I went to one dry cleaners one time and they ruined a very expensive shirt. They said the sleeve got caught in the machine so they had to fix the sleeves by cutting it shorter and it was never the same. They refused to even reimburse me. I was so pissed so I never went back.

I wasn't there when she picked it up so I don't know if he apologized. What bothers me is that he said it ripped open on its own!! How is that possible? He must think we are blind not to see it was cut open.
And he claims her veil (the one with the cord) was pre stained! What????

I'm sure they are not expensive monetary wise, but worth so much sentimentally. Even though I didn't like the way the pillow looked I would never want it destroyed like what he did to it. I feel bad for ever talking bad about it and bringing it there in the first place.

He still has my mom's veil(s) and gloves. I just am totally gutted by this and so upset.

I was going to make new pillows, but now I feel so bad about this I'm going to have to somehow salvage it and fix it myself and use it for my wedding.

I don't trust drycleaners with sentimental stuff anymore.

I'll do research on cleaners next time.

I don't know about any reimbursement as she still left the other things with him since he's going to try and remove the stains he put in!!! This is crazy...

I need to calm down.....
