Ok- I am going to be ordering my save the date magnets by end of this week. We are having church ceremony in Flushing and reception in Mineola-which location do I put on magnet? or do I just not put one?

Re: STD ?
I would just do the city and the state not the location - save that for the invite
example:
Save the Date for the Wedding of A and B
October xx, 2012
Mineola, NY

I definitely wouldn't put the whole address just city and state but my question is do I put city & state for the church or the reception hall because they are in two different cities???

Re: STD ?
to be honest - I dont think it matters.
I guess go with whichever city is closer to your hotel block... save the dates are mainly for people who are going to be booking travel and accommodations in my opinion

I ended up getting them from magnetstreet- a bunch of the girls on here had recommended them. They haven't arrived yet but I will post pics once they come

Re: STD ?
We didnt put the town or state - it read save the date for the wedding of Laurie and Steven with the date and it said below formal invitation to follow. Its just about the date. you dont need to provide anything additional if you dont want to.

That is how we ended up doing them Also, we added our website on it in case anyone wanted more info.

Re: STD ?
We wanted people to know it would be formal (black tie). I dont have a wedding website. Do most couples?

It is really a personal choice. We did one free through the knot. I think there are a few different websites that offer free ones. We like it because we can put information for our guests. Also, it is very helpful if you are going to have out of town guests-you can mention hotel information, transportation info, & even things for them to do in the area.
