STD Addressed to Me

I just received a STD for my friend's wedding and noticed that its only addressed to me and not my FH. We live together, she knows we do, and knows him/had met him several times. If its only addressed to me, though, am I right to assume I'm the only one invited to the wedding?

STD Addressed to Me

Hmm. Proper stationery etiquette would say yes, but that seems really strange. Is she close enough to ask her about it? Does she know your FH well?

STD Addressed to Me

We're close enough that I could ask but I would still feel awkward about it. She's paying for the wedding herself and has a very low max occupancy (120) so he may not have been invited due to that.

The same thing happened to me and I was even engaged, but FH is invited to the wedding (I just got the invite). The girl who is getting married is a co-worker and she just put my name on the STD to make it easier for herself, even though it is not the proper address etiquette. I guess she thought I should assume that FH is invited.

Maybe she forgot his last name and didn't want to ask... It might have been easier for her.

Unfortunately, everyone calls him by his last name so that's probably not what happened XD Also they're friends on Facebook.

It sounds like I'll be waiting to receive the invitation to know for sure! Thanks everyone :)

STD Addressed to Me

I am doing my save the dates this week. Should I just put the name of person on the invite or their name plus guest? I feel like I should include guest so they know in advance

If you have a relationship with her I would ask and just clear the air. See what she says.

STD Addressed to Me

This happened to me yesterday when I got an invite. Not sure if she is doing the invitations herself, because she is usually particular about details.

First, it was addressed to 'Mr. J. (last name) and Guest.' Second, FH's last name is spelled wrong. FH has known the groom since he was a kid, was best man at the groom's brother's wedding (long story as to why the brother wasn't the best man). We've hung out with them numerous times over the past 3 years. I'm more puzzled his last name was spelled wrong lol!

FH said that she probably just wanted to get the invitations out and didn't have time. I guess. She is having over 200 people at the wedding.
