STD addressing

I know this has been asked like a zillion times BUT

if I'm sending an STD to a good friend, do I put her boyfriend on the STD as well? Or just her, because he's not a mutual friend so he is technically like a guest?

I know for the wedding invites it'll be her plus him, not sure whats appropriate for people in these situations.

I am only including significant others if they live together or engaged, and then when it comes to wedding I'll put thier names. You never know what can happen in the next yr

This -- because thats how we decided if anyone was going to be invited with a guest. For those who I knew the names of, I included.. but it really doesn't make a difference how you do it unless they make travel plans..

Also, just think about the guest thing because you may change your mind about who gets the bring a guest by the time the actual invites go out -- you may just want to put one name on it. I know our list changed since the STD's and the invitation printing and for that reason only the Must Invites got the STDs.
