STD advice needed!

My FH just came up with a really cute idea of a STD. While looking at our fridge with a million STD on it, we were discussing which ones we really liked. Anyways, he came up with the idea of a save the date which litteraty shows a picture (or image) of a 'date' (like the one you eat) being saved. For example, a little cartoon date hanging off a cliff with the slogas...Save the Date!

Anyways, i think it's a cute concept, if it can be done right. Something different and fun, let people get a glimpse of our goofy side. But how the heck am i'm going to make that concept work?? ha ha

Any ideas??? It's a litlte different, but I though it would be something fun laugh for our guests to enjoy!

Definitely is creative and a fun idea! I have no clue how to make it work either LOL Do you know someone who cabn draw it? Or is good with photoshop? Good luck! Post a pic when you get it all done.

How about a cartoon caricature?? I've seen a lot of ads on craigslist.org by artists who do cartoon like drawings. They may be able to do something cute and funny!

this might be a good way to go--I would envision it as a cartoon....it's a really cute idea!

i'd probably go the more 'realistic' route. give an actual date eyes, a yelling mouth, arms and legs, etc. then set up a little scene with him (him falling off the counter, etc.) and photograph it. does that make sense? i have a whole calendar of stuff like this, but can't find any images online... sorta like this i guess (but with different fruit):
