I keep going back and forth about whether or not to send out STDs....but we've decided to do it.
First, I want to get a wedding website with our registry info so I can put the website on the STD.
But we haven't registered yet because I'm afraid things will get discontinued. So I can't really get the STDs out until we register....
But is it too early to register?? We want to register at Crate and Barrel...but they CONSTANTLY change their merchandise....so I'm nervous.
What do you ladies think? Should I just go ahead and register now...?

you can see what crate and barrel's exchange policy is? If it is a good one, you can register for stuff now and if something gets discontinued and you can't get the whole set then maybe you can exchange what you have for something else, does that make sense?

I think you can update the website as you register so why not do that? You can send out the STDs with www.______.com and on the main page you can have 'Keep coming back for more updates'. I think that's what I might do.

register now and just keep an eye on the different products and update it weekly. Someone may want to get you a gift sooner rather than later- you never know!

We registered @ C&B, most of what we registered for is standard stock, and is still available, some of the decorative items were discontinued, so I'll pick those as the date approaches.

I would say put something like 'Check the website for all updates' that way you can put hotel info, registry, etc. on the website and guests can keep checking.
