Wow, that's great. We're thinking about doing bookmarks as well. Where did you get those envelopes?

Here are mine. Sonic Stef designed them, I had a rubber stamp custom made, and I stamped them. I used embossing powder, so it looks raised. All supplies bought from Treasure Island in Carle Place. Labels from www.myweddinglabels.com

I want to do this as well...but am totally clueless on how to approach...

I know I want to include our initials and a pic on the front of the bookmark, but how do you actually make one? Any feedback is appreciated!

we made ours in Illustrator. the standard deminsions for a bookmark are 6x2.85 - you can set those margins on Microsoft Word if you are using that program. Let me know if you need more help.

We're having ours done at Kinko's. Does that still count as DIY? They're going to put a photo of us (that I scanned into the computer) on the front and our info on the back. We're buying the tassels and attaching them ourselves. I'll post a picture when they're done.

yes of course! I am not printing mine at home - if you designed it - its DIY.

I wanted to do tassels, but fh over-ruled me on them.

The images I want to use are all .jpgs - I can download them to microsoft word? Can you see how confused I am?

yes you can use jpegs in MS Word. You need to go to insert, then picture and then from file. Then just search to where you have the file.

Kinkos printed them up on cardstock (I created the layout on the page, they wanted to charge me $15 for something I could do in 5 minutes in Photoshop) and cut them to size. I punched the holes and attached the tassels. It was really simple to do from beinging to end.

I really love this idea! So did you scan the pictures and then lay them out so that you could fit a certain amount on each page and then cut them? Where did you get the tassels?
