STD Help (w/poll)

Can you girls help me choose which design to send out? (pics are in my album)

FH thinks our guests (ok, his guests) 'won't get' the ones of us dressed in the ancient Chinese wedding garments so he is totally against using those. People do not actually wear these gowns for their wedding anymore and it's not popular even for 'engagement' pics among current couples but I thought they were fun and what better way to utilize them than with STDs? BUT, I am concerned that they may send out the wrong impression of our wedding which will not incorporate any traditional Chinese elements. We will have a website url printed in so that could clear up any misconceptions.

What do you think??? Also, are STDs something you generally toss out?

ITA if you are not incorporating any traditional than i would stay away from the ones where you are dressed up. i like #3 the best because you are both facing the camera and look great (in #4 your FH is looking at you instead of the camera)

I personally save all my STDs until the wedding - then i toss them

i like the 4th one - very vibrant colors.

i save STDs and get rid of them once the wedding is over. I've also seen plenty of STD's on other people's fridges so i think most people save them til the day of

I like 3 and 4 best... I think the ethnic ones are fun, but might be too one-sided since the wedding is about both of you. I would go with #3.. In my opinion #3 shows you both in equal light and no distractions. You both look really great in that photo.

People usually toss the STD when they get the invitation. Or some people who are closer to you might save it as a keepsake etc.

#2 is adorable. I don't think there's anything wrong with going traditional. But if FH is not fond of the idea, I say let him have his say. It is a joint venture

That said, my favorite is #4 (2nd fav is #2).

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR THE INPUT!!! AugustFeather, your comment about the tone being one-sided really helped out. We both have equal say in everything wedding related (and hopefully everything else later on in life as well ), but now you've got us thinking that whatever we give/send out should represent us together as a couple.
