std magnet mailing question

do you have to tell the post office that there is a magnet in the envelope? i vaguely remember a post about this before but i can't find it!

i got my stds from vista print, so i also ordered a rubber stamp that said 'magnet enclosed'

not sure if its necessary tho

i don't think it's necessary

i wrote 'magnet enclosed' on the back of all my envelopes, and people have started recieving them. i didn't tell my post office anything.

I didn't tell anyone anything, nor did I write anything on the envelopes. As far as I know, everyone got them.

I would have them hand stamp them though because they get stuck through the machine sometimes. Only know cause my dad's gf works for the post office. Said it happens all the time.
