STD magnets?

I am getting ready to put my save-the-dates together and have a question. I have magnets from magnetsteet and then postcards from vista print with hotel information that I am sticking together. For other people that did something like this, how did you mail them? Was the magnet facing a certain way? Was it right justified? I just read all of these guidelines on usps.com and I'm a bit confused...
