I was wondering if it is possible to make your own magnets? not have them printed.. I hear so many negative things about vistaprints.com and I dont want to spend 200(other site pricing). I was hoping someone can help me~ where can I find magnets? I've been searching everywhere online and haven't found any??
I was thinking of making mine nice and simple..(picture below) I am going to change the picture. I got the idea of putting my monogram in there(inspired by MrsQ-in2007). I think it can out decent.
what do you girls think? to simple? I need honest opinion please~
btw, i posted this on DIY thread but I figured people read this thread more often
there are many more that I saw.. I can only find 2 right now.
I'm staying away just in case!

I think they are cute...I am not sure where you can find magnets...did you try Michaels or AC Moore? I used www.savethedatemagnetsusa.com and they were great. Not too expensive, got them really quick, and they can take your design and make them.
Good luck!

I love your design. You could easily do this yourself. There are 2 ways I can think of. The 1st and easiest is to make the STD the size of a business card. Print them on any inkjet/laser printer business card paper. Then use the self stick magnets they make. You can get them in staples for about $12 for a package of 50.
The other option is using a full sheet of magnet paper and custom cutting them. They print beautifully on most inkjet printers, but they are not as sturdy as the business card ones. They also fade over time. (Meaning a few years)

Re: STD magnets helpp
The sheets are actually magnets. I have used them in the past for projects at work. They stick well to metal and print great. They also cut very easily, but they are not much thicker than a sheet of cardstock. I am considering using them myself for our STD.
As for the business card size, I agree it might be a little small. Just the only other solution I could think of.
