I'm thinking about sending STD's and I was wondering how much it might cost.
Please advise... Where did you order from? How many you ordered? Did you do a card, magnet or post card?
And of course please share any other information you have on them, Thanks!

Re: STD Prices
I got mne from vistaprint and they are amazing. I wad expecting business card size ones and I was so surprised because they are huge. I got 200 of them plus the envelopes and matching labels for 145.00 including the tax and shipping (I had a free shipping coupon). The best surprise was that they said 10-15 days for delivery and they came in 5

I'm also on the fence about STDs. I don't want to pay a ton of money for them. I was actually just thinking of doing them for everyone that will be traveling from out of town. I won't do them for local people. This will cut my list down. I don't want to pay more than $100-$150 for STDs.

Re: STD Prices
I got the magnets from Michaels and am printing them myself. They sell them 30 for $10. And they always have coupons. I got 240 of them and spent less than $70! The ink that is used isn't even a whole cartridge, so I am set!

Re: STD Prices
Mine are going to be like $200-$250. I am doing those mini book things. It's only like $100 over other STD's but invites and STD's are really important to me. I think it's what gets the whole vibe going. If people see a cool STD they are gonna be excited to get the invite. Not that you have to spend a lot on it at all but I like some kind of personality in it.
I really like the Michaels magnet idea...thats a really good price! I love magnets STD's since people have to see it everyday. I'm thinking I'll put a manet in with our STD's...but a smaller one just so they have our name and dates on them.

Re: STD Prices
I wil definitely be doing save the dates with 80 percent of the guest list from outside of NY.
I will be ordering the magnets from vistaprint. I made sure both me and FH bought the $10 for $50 to purchase them on the cheap :)
I will be making a backing for them using parchment paper in style with my wedding myself. As well as purchasing envelopes. I'm not sure from where, its going to come down to where-ever has the cheapest price.
I plan on putting a postcard size piece of paper with the magnet in an envelope.

Re: STD Prices
Pioneer Color has some inexpensive ones too and you get to design it online just like you do with Magnet Street.

Re: STD Prices
I did this as well. It was 100 free postcards and just had to pay the shipping. I didn't personalize mine with a picture. I ran them through my printer with my wedding website on the back so OOT guests can get information about hotel accomodations etc without having to contact us.

Do you need a special printer to do this?

Re: STD Prices
I am just going to copy and paste something I just wrote on another thread...don't mind the talk about the room block
'I am still on the fence about a block of rooms because I don't have that many people coming from out of town and those that are coming will either stay with family or find their own accommodations because they will most likely be staying longer than just a day or two and will want to be closer to family than the hall is. The STD's were fun to send out though. Made things a little more real and I didn't spend a lot of money on them either. I believe it was something like $55 for 100 STD's. I only sent them to the people I know for sure I want there, so in reality I really only needed 75 cause I have a lot left over. It could've cost me even less had I figured that out ahead of time, haha.
Good luck though, and there are no rules you 'have to' follow, so do what makes your life less stressful and keeps you happy
P.S. I used snapfish for my STD's while there was a deal going on and then found a free shipping code, which I searched for on google. HTH!'
I HTH a bit. I loved my STD's. They were on like a photo type paper, but I think the quality was excellent. I even forgot to write something on the prints when I ordered them. I contacted Snapfish and they refunded my order and let me replace the new one, allowing me to keep the old ones and not having to worry about the stress of sending them back. They were awesome to work with! Just keep in mind, these are STD's, not invites. They don't have to be super expensive. Just cute and something to remind people that your special day is coming up. Don't stress it and don't spend a ton of money. And DO NOT forget to only send to those you are definitely going to want there in a year or however far ahead you are sending these out, cause if you send a STD, you have to send an invite.
Sorry for typing so much, haha. Good luck hun!

Re: STD Prices
I just ordered mine, they are post cards, and they have just our first and last nmes & wedding date on the front, and a small pic on the back.
$80 for 120 of them!
thats also why i did post cards, no evelopes and stamps are cheaper! so if i spend $100 ...
