STD Question

STD Question

I'm starting to compile my list of who we are sending out STD to. I have a few friends who arent married but I will be inviting them with a guest, Do I include this on the Save the Date?

Would it be?

Ms. Nicole Smith

or

Ms. Nicole Smith & Guest

Re: STD Question

honestly i am not sure. but i do recall that when my sister received a save the date it was just in her name. and then the invitation said Ms. ____ & guest.

however when i have received STDs they have always been Ms. ____ & Mr. ____. that was prior to us being engaged.

Re: STD Question

For STD's i would just send it to the friend, save the and guest part for the invitation

Re: STD Question

I think the STD is just for the person you are inviting, no guest on it yet. From what Ive heard you would say that on the invite.

Re: STD Question

If your close to the couple then the right thing to do it to include each name on the std (mr. smith and mrs. doe)
But if your not close with the couple and its a friend with a 'new' boyfriend/girlfriend just put your friends name... that way if they break up you are not committed to inviting them with a guest then.

I'm going to just write their name...but all my guests are getting invited with a guest. I need to guarantee 75 and we both have small families and as I told you ladies before....I really don't have many friends.

I would just send it without a guest. If they arent married yet...well, you never know what could happen in the next year and a half.

Re: STD Question

i was just going to put the name of my friend, unless they were engaged, which only happens to be 2 of my friends....the rest are married, so they will just get mr. and mrs. you never know what could happen in the next year and a half

Re: STD Question

Here's a questions....I'm really doing the save the date b/c of so many OOT guests....so if I don't do '& guest' will that give the OOT guests enough time to plan for their dates and make travel arrangements for them? In this case is it better to let them know that they can bring a guest?

Re: STD Question

usually the formal invitation will include '& guest', you don't need to put it on the STD
