My mom is telling me you only send STD's to immediate family. Is that true? or do you send it to everyone you plan on inviting?

Re: STD Question?
I think everyone ... especially if you are having a sunday/extended weekend/destination wedding. It great to give everyone a heads up.

Re: STD Question?
we are only doing family and close friends that we are 100% sure we are inviting. Relationships change over time and I don't want to feel obligated to invite someone that I've lost touch with just because I had sent them a std

Re: STD Question?
We sent them to most people we invited. There were a few that we were on the fence about so they didn't get an STD.

Re: STD Question?
You send them to everyone you are definitely inviting. Don't send them to people you 'may' invite.

Re: STD Question?
We are sending them to everyone we are 100% positive is getting an invite. We have a handful of people that might get cut if we need to cut people so we don't want to send them a STD because then we are obligated to send them an invite.
Just make absolutely sure that anyone outside of family you send an STD to is a definite invite.

Re: STD Question?
i am only sending them to the people i really want there
my guest list is over the room limit by about 35 people so we are not sending STDs to people that may get cut from our list in the end
So if I don't see you at a holiday you are not getting a STD

ITA.. I was about to send some to work people and then I held off.. Who knows if I'll even be at this job by then.. If I'm not, I would only invite 3 people as opposed to the 10 I'll invite if still working here

Re: STD Question?
i'm going to send them to everyone i am 100% sure i'm inviting. work ppl and some on-the-fence friends may not receive one, just in case we need to cut down the list before the actual invites go out. you don't want to get locked into something by sending a STD to someone you wind up not wanting to invite to the wedding!
